Speech Therapy

Speech therapy sessions are tailored to your child’s needs, using a mix of play-based and drill-based approaches to keep therapy both effective and engaging. Parents and caregivers are also provided with weekly homework to encourage continued progress at home.

During our speech therapy sessions, we focus on:

  • Improving overall speech intelligibility

  • Reducing frustration in communication

  • Teaching specific sounds and words

Our ultimate goal is to help your child be clearly understood, easing communication with others.

Language Therapy

Language therapy sessions for younger children are all about playing with a purpose, while older children may engage in more structured activities, including board games, iPad apps, or physical play.

During our language therapy sessions, we focus on:

  • Enhancing your child’s ability to communicate their ideas, wants, and needs through AAC, sign language, gestures, and/or verbal speech

  • Improving comprehension of spoken and written language

Our goal is to empower your child to communicate confidently and effectively in their everyday life.

Here’s Our Process

Eat Play Speak provides speech, language, and feeding therapy for kids throughout Bulloch County and surrounding areas. We will meet with your child at home, daycare, school, or even a park!

Step 1

Reach out to get started with a free consultation. During this call, you will speak to one of our pediatric speech therapists, who will answer all of your questions and make a recommendation based on your concerns and needs.

Step 2

We will then begin with an evaluation. Evaluations typically take an hour. Afterward, your speech therapist will share the results and her recommendations to help determine the next steps for your child.

Step 3

We typically see children for speech or feeding therapy 1-2 times a week for 30-45 minutes per session. The frequency and duration of therapy is dependent upon your child's needs and therapy goals.

Step 4

Progress will be monitored regularly and shared with you. As goals are met, we will update them until your child is ready to graduate.

One your child is ready to graduate therapy, we will notify you and make a plan to exit therapy!
